Some like him, some don't. But he does give you something to think about.

Theme Park for the Sega Genesis

Before there was RollerCoaster Tycoon there was Theme Park for the Sega Genesis and PC. This game was made by BULLFROG who made a lot of fun games back in the day. And in it you take control of a Theme Park what else? It is a scenario based game with the scenarios getting harder and harder as you go along.

DBZ on the GBA

Here are some story mode DBZ games for the Gameboy advance.
Legacy of Goku 1

Azure Dreams

A nice little game for the playstation.
You take control of a young man in a run down town in the middle of nowhere and you must find a way to take care of your family. So of course you take the path of your now missing father and become a monster hunter!
There are many elements to this game not just hunting and raising monsters. There is a town building element.
You can add and upgrade many buildings in the town and turn the run-down town into a thriving desert oasis.
And there is also a relationship element.
There are some mini-games as well.
Overall a very fun game.

Uncharted Waters New Horizons

A fun pirate/trading game for the super nintendo.

You take control of one of six characters with their own unique story altho they all intermingle to some degree.
From there you can decide what you want to be; a pirate with just a small fleet selling captured vessels and goods, a merchant with a vast trading fleet or a privateer with a large armada at your command.
There is also a LOT of exploration to do in this game, after all this is set in the age of exploration.
Overall it's a really great game for its time and is still quite enjoyable to play!

Red Dead Redemption

Yea its a shooter but its so much more and I think it rather stands out in the overly saturated FPS market.
It's set in a fictitious old west and you take control of John Marston, an outlaw who is just trying to settle down with his family. Just like with Fallout you can make any number of choices to be a "good" guy or really spread the mud and get your hands dirty.
There is a lot of optional content in this game but you can opt to just play the main story for a quick game. However I think most of the extra content is implemented really well and worth exploring. If you are not the best shot in the world, like myself, there is an ability to slow down time and mark your targets which can be really helpful especially if you are being swarmed.
It's a great game with a large open world with an ample supply of weapons where you can do as much or as little as you want. Here is one of the many trailers.

Fallout wrapup

My internet has been touch and go today but back to posting.
I can't really recommend Fallout New Vegas right now even tho I did enjoy the game. I played it for I think around 120 hours but it took a lot of patience because the game would randomly freeze up or I would get stuck in the side of a mountain, fall through the ground etc etc. Perhaps they will eventually patch it to fix these problems or maybe they have since I played it and when the problems are addressed it will be a great game. I can't even comment on Fallout Tactics or any other games because I have not even played them. However Fallout 1/2/3 are most certainly worth checking out and as I hope I have shown incorporate some really good music from the past.
Some links to check out:
Fallout 3 Nexus  is a really great resource for modding Fallout 3 and they have a site for New Vegas as well.
The Vault has the answers to pretty much any question you could have about any fallout game.
No mutants allowed has several mods/patches for fallout 1 and 2.

The Ink Spots again!

This time with I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire~
Opening theme for Fallout 3

Fallout 3

And on to the bread and butter. Even tho many would argue the first two fallout games are better, Fallout 3 has more up-to-date graphics and an easier play-style. It is also MASSIVE, even more so if you grab the GOTY edition. There are tons of mods and a still active modding community. Check them out here!
As opposed to Fallout 1&2 this game is set on the east coast around Washington DC(The Capitol Wasteland). As always you can do as much or as little as you like and can play the Hero of The Day or just shoot everything that moves and proclaim yourself King Nothing.
The Fallout franchise was taken over by Bethesda and Fallout 3 and New Vegas are somewhat similar to Oblivion but only vaguely so. This game should have great re-playability. I've not finished my first play yet because there is so much to do!

A Kiss To Build A Dream On

Great song by Louis Armstrong and main theme for Fallout 2.

Fallout 2

This game was released in 1998 and in my opinion greatly improved upon the original. Fallout 1 and 2 are turn-based role-playing games developed by Black Isle Studios. They brought a lot to the table when they were first released and still have a lot to offer to anyone willing to give them a try.
This game starts in 2241 and the character is a direct descendant of the main character from the first game. Again you are free to play the game the way you choose and your choices are reflected in the games ending. Oh! and this game features the voice acting of Michael Dorn, you know Worf from Star Trek TNG and other movies/series.

Hmm I found another collection of 1+2 and tactics and this time it is only $1 you really have no excuse not to try these great games for just a buck!

The Ink Spots - Maybe

If you have played fallout then you know this song. If not then it is worth checking out. This is the main theme to Fallout 1 and is featured in Fallout 3.

Fallout

I have found the Fallout series to be good at integrating good music into an enjoyable game.
First you should know that this game was released back in 1997. This is a pretty good game if you are not worried about graphics.
Fallout is a post-apocalyptic computer role-playing game that was developed and published by Interplay in 1997 and is the first game in the Fallout series. The game takes place in the year 2161 on the West Coast of what used to be the United States of America, particularly in California.

You take on the role of a "vault dweller" from vault 13 and it is your job to either save the inhabitants and quite possibly humanity or sit back and do nothing. There are many choices that can be made in this game and all of them will be reflected in the games ending.

And apparently you can pick up the trilogy(fallout 1+2 and tactics) for under $10 on amazon. It's worth checking out.

Ahhh another blog among millions

And with this first post I suppose I will explain the content which I will be posting to my blog. I plan to make this blog about music and video games both new and old. I may also put in some other things along the way but for now just games/music. And without further interruption lets get to the good stuff.
